Blog 52: Canada

When I was in the seventh grade, I recieved the opportunity to go on a two week trip to Western Canada, with People to People Student Ambassador program. The trip was so amazing and I got to participate in various activities that I probably wouldn't have had the chance to do. The first three nights I got to go camping. Take that I had never been camping in my life and didn't know what to expect I was freaking out a little bit. We actually got to sleep in Teepees on a Native American reservation, so that was really fun. During these first three days I went hiking if you want to call it that, eventually I reached the top it looked over the trees and mountains and I could also see this river called "Ghost River", and later that day we actually got to swim in it. Another part of the trip is that we went whale watching, that was probably the most epic and beautiful thing I have ever seen so far in my life. I remeber the water and the sky being so blue that day, and the whales were so apparent. Through out the trip we experienced numerous adventures. Actually, that was my first time going on a trip for the first time by myself, my first time riding in an airplane, and the first time I had to learn how to be on my own and be responsible. In conclusion, that was by far the most amazing excperience I recieved at that age. Also I would love to go on another trip similar to this one in the near future.
And so it is.

  1. I got accepted to be a student ambassador for People to People as well. However, the price tag on the trip to Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji was way too much for me to come up with, so I couldn't go. :(

  3. Camping with a lot of peers is really interesting. i visited USA two years ago, also with a summer camp; although i don't know everyone at the beginning, i finally made a lot of good friends in the end and enjoy a extremely happy time during the two weeks.b
