Blog 60: Word

Blogging about a word is really random, but I guess that's what makes this interesting. I don't really know if this qualifies as a word or not, however, I really like the word supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. I always been fascninated by this word, ever since I heard it in Mary Poppins. It sounds complex but very simple at the same time. Unfortunately, I don't know what it means and if it means anything, I feel that its one of those words wear you can make it mean whatever you want. In my opinion I would say it means something that makes you genuinely happy from the inside out. Mary Poppins is truly a great musical. I don't like thw word whatever. Even though I dislike this word it remains in my vocabulary. Its one of those words you can you use when your happy or sad, it never really matters how your feeling because it seems appropriate. That is probably why this word stays on my tongue. However, I can never say this word towards my parents, they feel as though it me being disrespectful, and in a way I can understand where they are coming from. I think its amazing how vast the English language is and yet we all only use a handful of words. Sometimes when I learn a new word, I try to use it as much as possible so that its familiar in my vocabulary. So hopefully I can expand my what seems to be a limited vocabulary.
And so it is.

  1. Wow, that's really a long word. It's a little bit of wierd to see such kind of word in a children's book.
