Well this evening I watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer, form the first time, while its a familiar show to me I never really found the interest to ever watch it. The first episode was alright but I feel that Buffy should have actually slayed a vampire for the first episode. So I found it odd that she didn't, instead she was trying to unposses people of denomic devices. For the show to be considered scifi, is quite interesting for the simple fact it reminded me more of a Halloween movie something much like the goosebumbs t.v series, which I was a big fan of when I was younger. I felt that the characters were weak, I didn't feel that any of the characters were strong, also I felt that some of the lines were very cheesy. I feel that sense this was the first episode, that, they could have built up the story background way more; of who Buffy was and her story. However, I think that I did enjoy this episode better than Firefly. However I like the drama in Firefly a lot better than in this episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Well hopefully I will see Buffy slay a vampire in the next coming episodes.
And so it is.
I agree that a lot of the lines in Buffy were cheesy, and the first season doesn't seem to have a lot of vampire slaying but other random events. I suggest a diffrent season!
ReplyDeleteI thought I saw a slaying scene in the first episode...ok, maybe not, I can't recall. But there is slaying in the next episode. I agree this show is not all about vampires, for which I am released...the vampires are not as good-looking as I imagine...
